A thoughtfully designed home that blends the timeless charm of traditional Kerala architecture sloping roof centered around a central courtyard with the clean, open aesthetics of modern interiors. The design emphasizes maximum openness, natural light, and seamless indoor-outdoor connections, offering a serene, breathable living experience. Traditional central courtyard (nadumuttam) acts as the heart of the home, enhancing ventilation, natural light, and family interaction. The single floor layout with efficient zoning of private and common spaces around the courtyard has enhanced the modern interior language with sleek finishes, minimal partitions, and large openings. Design intent was to create a grounded yet contemporary residence where the traditional essence of a central courtyard anchors the home in cultural context, while modern interior planning brings functionality, openness, and sophistication perfect for a family that values heritage and modern comfort in equal measure.
