This renovation project involved the addition of a new floor to the existing design as per the client requirements. To maintain the traditional theme, an incorporation of laterite cladding on the exterior walls with a traditional sloping roof suitable for Kerala weather- maintaining the simplicity of traditional Kerala design. One of the 4 bedrooms on the ground floor was converted to a utility room. The first floor, considered the family private space- includes an upper living space and a sit-out, with two bedrooms.
